My "why" is yours
After over 20 years’ experience in the practice of law in both the law firm setting and as corporate counsel at an international franchisor, I opened my own law firm in 2016 and joined Fournier Legal Services in late 2020. Being on my own has meant that I now can practice law in a way that truly suits me. Clients have never been just another name on a file for me. They have always been real people, with their own stories, their own dreams and challenges. Setting up businesses and charities, solving and solving partnership problems, drafting and reviewing non-compete agreements, buying and selling businesses, drafting and reviewing countless contracts has provided me with a wonderful opportunity to get to know some amazing people over the years as together we have worked together to resolve a myriad of problems and challenges for their businesses. I have always been open to learning new areas of the law - from undertaking the drafting of a conservation easement, mounting a property tax appeal to mastering software licensing and SAAS agreements – as my client’s business needs require. I strive to make sure my client’s business needs are being met while keeping a close eye on the bottom line costs for that client.
On the personal side, I enjoy gardening and kayaking on Long Island Sound. My favorite “get away” activity is mountain climbing and backpacking. For me, there is nothing more refreshing than hitting the trailhead with a pack on my back and the whole day of climbing before me! I bring the same energy to my legal work.
